El Paso Zoo
If you haven’t had the opportunity to come check out the El Paso Zoo then you definitely need to plan a day to go and enjoy a family fun day. With different activities they have going on; you can take your family on any day really and always run into some kind of fun event going on. From seeing a live bird show to feeding the giraffes, don’t miss out on this kind of fun.
Hiking - Franklin Mountains
If you have ever visited El Paso then you will know that we are known for our amazing mountains. If you haven’t had the opportunity to go hiking and see the amazing view of the beautiful city of El Paso then you need to plan a day where you go. There are many different trails you can follow up in the Franklin Mountains then leads you up the mountain to a spot where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Carlsbad Caverns
If you’ve ever lived in El Paso then you have probably visited the fascinating cave in Carlsbad. This is definitely something you will want to take the kiddos to because they will fall in love with the amazing views. They also have a bat viewing show that you can watch right outside the cave.
Cattleman’s Steak House
Cattleman’s Steak house is not only a place to go and eat but an Indian Cliffs Ranch. This is a fun place to take the kids out to see a bunch of different animals, a huge playground, pond, and take a hay ride out to see the history of the desert and also the set of different movies that were shot there. If you love history and a fun place to take the kids, then make sure you stop by Cattleman’s Steakhouse.
Scenic Drive
If you have ever visited El Paso then you have seen the big star up on the mountain lit up. It’s just an El Paso thing. If you take a drive up there you will see an area where you can get out and walk around, take pictures and take in the beautiful scenery of El Paso and Juarez. If you ever come to El Paso make sure you take the scenic route home and check out the beautiful scenic drive.
White Sands National Monument
If you have ever lived in El Paso then I am sure you have, at some point visited White Sands National Monument. Located about 1 hour and 30 minutes away, you will experience some outdoor fun. Most kids take some sleds and sled down the white sandy hills. This is the perfect place for a picnic and just to go out and enjoy the outdoors with the family.
Hueco Tanks
If you love the outdoors and are in need of some adventure then Hue co Tanks is the place for you. Located just 45 minutes from El Paso, you can hike, climb, bird watch, study nature and history and have a picnic with the family. Don’t miss your opportunity to visit the great Waco Tanks.
Chihuahuas Baseball
Who doesn’t love a great baseball game? If you have never been to a Chihuahua’s game then you need to get those tickets. At the Southwest University Park you can catch a great baseball game, your kids can enjoy the kid’s area with the splash pad and everyone can enjoy the great food. They have different events for some games like Firework nights and bring your Chihuahua to the park. Don’t miss the El Paso Chihuahuas games!
Fountains of Farrah
If you are new to the El Paso area then you should stop by the Fountains of Farrah shopping center. There are lots of different shops, restaurants, and activities. With the outdoor space, you can sit on the lawn and enjoy a little picnic while you kids run around and play on the splash pad or in the winter time you can enjoy the ice skating rink. They also have different events like Yoga on the lawn. Come out and look around at the Fountains of Farrah shopping Center to enjoy some outdoor activities while shopping.
Wet-N-Wild Waterworld
Cool off this hot summer with a trip to Wet N Wild Water World. Enjoy the number of different waterslides or relax in the lazy river. Bring your whole family out with some food and spend the whole day out at the park.
Western Playland
Enjoy a family fun day at Western Playland. Bring the kids out to enjoy a number of different rides and games. It is home to the rides the Hurricane, Tsunami, El Bandido Roller Coaster, Paratrooper, Round up, Tilt-a Whirl, Pharaoh’s Fury, Scrambler, Himalaya, and more. The park is opened seasonally, usually March to October. It opens only during the weekends for most of the season, except for summer, its peak season, when they also open during the week.

El Paso Locomotive FC is an American professional soccer team based in El Paso, Texas. Founded in 2018, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in 2019.
